Acid Junkies
Acid Junkies began in 1992 as a solo project of the Eindhoven producer Stefan Robbers, a tribute to the Chicago originators who put psychedelia into house music. The Part 1 EP on the Eindhoven label Djax-Up-Beats took off, and Harold de Kinderen, who had lent Robbers the Roland TB-303 used on that record, joined as a full member. Robbers also helped turn Eindhoven into a techno city as Terrace, Florence and REC and through his Eevo Lute Muzique label. Across six studio albums, a live album and many EPs on Djax-Up-Beats, Acid Tracks and their own AJ Records, the duo moved from pure acid house into electro, industrial and EBM. Live, they improvise on analogue synthesisers and drum machines, and they played Dekmantel Ten in 2024.
