Air Max '97

Air Max '97 is a Sydney-based producer, DJ and multidisciplinary artist whose work also spans design and art direction. His early EPs Progress And Memory and Fruit Crush came out on Liminal Sounds, and in 2015 he started his own DECISIONS label with Core Work / Expenditure, followed by HPE, Nacre, Falling Not Walking, Coriolis and Enthusiast. For Timedance he made Ice Bridge / Bruxis and Psyllium / Eat The Rich, and his remixes include work for Kelela, Nidia Minaj and Ziúr. His tracks layer sub-heavy bass, curious synth textures and skeletal percussion, and his 2021 Dekmantel Podcast moved from grime rhythms and bass cuts to stripped-back techno. He also records as part of A2A and Loppy B.
