AKIRAM EN

AKIRAM EN is a Tokyo DJ, selector and party organiser who has been a fixture of the Japanese underground since he started playing in the mid-nineties. His dance sets run from left-field techno to the avant-garde, mixed with a strong sense of floor manners, while his deep listening sets draw on obscure sounds. He came to prominence at the outdoor festival rural and at the techno parties Future Terror and MNML SSG. He runs ideala, a weekly deep listening night at Forestlimit in Hatagaya, the centre of Tokyo's experimental scene, and is a resident of SCI-FI at SHeLTeR, an audiophile venue in Hachioji. His first mix CD, Mekano 1974-92, came out on Black Smoker Records in 2018. He played Dekmantel Selectors in 2025.
