Al Wootton

Kent producer Al Wootton, also known for his earlier work as Deadboy, runs the Trule label and makes music at the meeting point of dub techno, sound system pressure and early 2000s UK garage. Records such as Selah, Natural Forward and Body Healthy set Hard Wax-leaning techno against ragga vocals and garage swing, and he has also released on Livity Sound and on the dub label ZamZam Sounds with Every Knee Shall Bow. He plays in the trio Holy Tongue with Valentina Magaletti and Susumu Mukai. His album Rhythm Archives was followed by Glorias on AD 93, built from music by composers exiled after the Spanish Civil War. He has shared a Dekmantel Festival set with Azu Tiwaline.
