Alexander Nut

Alexander Nut is a London DJ, broadcaster and label founder who honed his craft at the Plastic People nightclub. His radio career runs from Rinse FM's pirate days to a long-running show on NTS. In 2008 he co-founded Eglo Records with Floating Points, whom he had discovered as an emerging artist, and the label went on to release music by Fatima, Funkineven, Dego and Kaidi, Byron The Aquarius, Steve Spacek and Shy One. A committed record collector, he plays without regard for tempo or era, drawing on house, soul, hip-hop, jazz, broken beat, reggae and funk across the spectrum of Black music. He played Lentekabinet Festival in 2019.
