Aroy Dee
Aroy Dee is Steven Brunsmann, the Amsterdam producer who founded M>O>S Recordings, a label whose initials stand for the Dutch phrase for music about cities. M>O>S was first one of his own recording names, used on a string of EPs for Rush Hour around the turn of the millennium, before he settled on Aroy Dee, taken from an Amsterdam restaurant whose Thai name means yummy. His organic techno and stripped-back house carry a strong melancholy streak, from the record Sketches to collaborations with San Proper. He also records in the acid trio R-A-G with Gijs Poortman and MarcoAntonio Spaventi, and has released on Mora Music, Sequencias, Photic Fields and Craigie Knowes. He played Dekmantel Selectors in 2016 with Peel Seamus.
