Avalon Emerson

Avalon Emerson was born in San Francisco, raised in Arizona and has been based in Berlin since 2014, where she became a Panorama Bar regular. Her early Cybernedits, bootleg re-edits given away for free, showed the instinct for pop and electronic history that runs through her DJ sets, which cut across tempos and eras with layered re-editing. The Frontier on Whities was named by Resident Advisor among the top tracks of its decade, and Narcissus in Retrograde on Spectral Sound followed the same year. Her volume of the DJ-Kicks series spans that range. With her band the Charm she released the album & the Charm on her own Another Dove label, and she has played live at Dekmantel Festival's The Loop.
