Bambounou

Bambounou is Jérémy Guindo, a Paris DJ and producer whose French, Malian and Polish background and love of astrophysics and dystopian science fiction feed into futuristic takes on UK techno, IDM and tribal rhythms. He caught the ear of Modeselektor early, and their 50Weapons label released two albums and five EPs, starting with the accomplished debut album XXX in 2012. He has remixed Laurent Garnier, Jessy Lanza and Sampha, collaborated with Margaret Dygas and Simo Cell, and in 2021 launched his own label Bambe with a more restrained, hypnotic sound. His DJ sets, heavy and relentless, have filled Berghain and Panorama Bar, Concrete, De School and Freerotation.
