Barbara Boeing

Barbara Boeing is a DJ from Curitiba in southern Brazil and a co-founder of Alter Disco, the party and collective she runs with five friends, among them her long-time musical partner Phil Mill. She started collecting vinyl in 2017 and sorts her records by mood and tempo, from ambient and dark electronics to house and Brazilian music. Her sets lean on Brazilian material, axé, synth-pop, rap, soul and funk, paying homage to sounds from home. In 2019 she made her Boiler Room debut at Nuits Sonores and played Lentekabinet, and she later moved her base to Milan, where she appeared on the first release of BS Radio with Eternal Love; the Alter Disco album Metalmadeira II came out on Soundway Records.
