BEA1991

BEA1991 is the project of Beatriz Colette Hanneke de Rijke, a Dutch-British audio-visual artist based in Amsterdam, drawn to pantheism, progressive pop music and autodidact learning. She describes herself as a polyfocal artist, and her practice runs through music, visuals and counselling. Her self-released Songs Of 2k11 opened a steady stream of home-published work on Bandcamp, followed by the album Brand New Adult and singles such as Saltworks, Almost a Lover and My Own Heaven. Discogs credits her among the contributors to Blood Orange's albums Freetown Sound and Negro Swan, and her work has surfaced on PAN. She played a DJ set for Red Light Radio and The Rest Is Noise at Dekmantel Festival 2019.
