Bear Bones

Bear Bones, Lay Low is the solo project of Ernesto González, born in Venezuela in 1988 and based in Belgium since 2003, where he lives in Brussels. Active in the Belgian noise underground since his teens, he has moved from spontaneous bedroom noise and drone jams to colourful synthesiser music where library sounds meet entrancing rhythms, dubby effects and plenty of freak-outs, played on analogue synths and vintage drum machines. He has been a member of the psychedelic jam band Sylvester Anfang II since 2006, forms the drone duo González and Steenkiste with Hellvete and the electronic duo Tav Exotic with Weird Dust. His records have appeared on Sloow Tapes, Troglosound, Full Of Nothing, KRAAK and BAKK, among them El Telonero. He played live at Dekmantel Festival in 2019.
