Betonkust
Betonkust comes from the Dutch coast and makes analogue house with a Detroit tilt, recorded quick and raw to tape on cheap gear: a Boss DR-660, a few synths and whatever happy accident lands when a drum pattern gets routed through a bass sound. Punk, krautrock, disco, funk and soul all sit under the surface. He has released on 1080p, Pinkman and Dekmantel, most closely with Palmbomen II, his long-time collaborator on stage and in the studio. Together they recorded the album Center Parcs in an off-season holiday park, a lo-fi, psychedelic record of outsider house, followed by Parallel B, a track on the Dekmantel ten-year series and Dekmantel Podcast 182.
