Black Rave Culture

Black Rave Culture is a trio from Washington, D.C.: Amal, James Bangura and Nativesun, who came together to build a club sound of their own city. Their music reads club culture through the lens of the Black experience, blending house, techno, footwork, two-step, dub and baile funk. Their debut release appeared on HAUS of ALTR in 2021, followed by the self-released BRC volumes, Quick Game EP, Crazy Legs and Sub Poppin. They have remixed dreamcastmoe for Ghostly International, Eleanor for Sorry Records and Danny Daze, and hosted a guest hour on NTS mixing classic US dancefloor sounds with UK flavours. They played Lentekabinet in 2024.
