Boo Williams
Boo Williams is a second-generation Chicago house producer who followed in the footsteps of Larry Heard, Marshall Jefferson and Lil Louis, with a career dating back to 1981. In the mid-nineties he joined Relief Records, the hard, jacking sub-label of Cajual run by Curtis Jones, better known as Green Velvet, and later released on the Dutch label Djax. His 1996 album Home Town Chicago became a touchstone of bouncy house and was later reissued by Anotherday Records. Further records followed on Peacefrog, Ovum and Rush Hour, all marked by driving beats and textured, ethereal atmospheres. He played Lentekabinet Festival in 2017.
