Bruxas

Bruxas is the duo of Dutch psych musicians Jacco Gardner and Nic Mauskovic, who struck up a partnership on the revival tour of Zamrock band WITCH over poolside hours and a shared love of late-1960s German kosmische musik. Their music is cinematic, Balearic disco with a no-wave and post-disco edge, drawing on 1970s soundtracks, library music, African disco and afrobeat. The Más Profundo EP was their first record for Dekmantel, followed by Sirocco and the debut album Muscle Memory on the same label. Mauskovic also leads The Mauskovic Dance Band, and Gardner is known for his own neo-psychedelic records.
