C.FRIM

C.FRIM is Charlotte Frimpong, a DJ from Naarm (Melbourne) with Ghanaian and Filipina heritage. She started out air DJing in her bedroom before she could afford gear, and her career took off with a Boiler Room set at Sugar Mountain in December 2022, which RA picked as a Mix Of The Day. Her sets dig into her musical ancestry, weaving amapiano and Afro-electronic sounds through creative club music with precise mixing. Through Dutty, the party she co-runs, she has carved out space in Australia for the QTBIPOC community and anyone drawn to the Afro diaspora. Her first European tour included her debut at Dekmantel Festival in 2023, and she has played Pitch Music and Arts and Let Them Eat Cake at home.
