Carlos Souffront
Carlos Souffront built his name in Detroit and Ann Arbor, where he hosted Crush Collision, an electronic show on college station WCBN 88.3FM, for nine years. His sets at No Way Back, the Interdimensional Transmissions party during Movement weekend, became a rite of passage, and it was his playing that pushed the crew to stretch the party to its twelve-hour limit. In 2011 he moved to San Francisco and became part of the Bay Area scene, playing parties such as Honey Soundsystem and Concept. A deep acid and techno collection anchors his long all-vinyl sessions, and his six-hour mixes run from Neil Landstrumm and Luke Slater to Elecktroids. He recorded RA.474 and the third Dekmantel Podcast, played Dekmantel Festival in 2015 and 2022, and is also known as a cheesemonger.
