Clara!

Clara! grew up in Galicia, where reggaeton at teenage parties in the 2000s set her course, and is based in Brussels, where she is part of the crew PRR! PRR! with DJ David Goblin and DJ Cloarec. Her Reggaetoneras mixtapes, the first self-released in 2015 and two more on Editions Gravats, the label run by Low Jack and Jean Carval, compile only female reggaeton MCs from the nineties to the present. With Maoupa Mazzocchetti she made the album Meneo, her first as producer and vocalist, and she has worked with Pearson Sound and Low Jack. Her sets shift tempo across Hispanic rhythms, and her radio programme asked whether men can sing feminist songs.
