Coco Maria

Coco Maria was born in Mexico and is based in London. As a DJ and radio host she transmits the energy of the Caribbean, Brazil and the rest of Latin America through records full of samba, jazz, charanga, cumbia and Latin funk. Her show Club Coco airs on NTS, and Breakfast Club Coco went out on Gilles Peterson's Worldwide FM, broadcast live from the Rush Hour store in Amsterdam every Tuesday. The community around the show led to the compilation Club Coco on Bongo Joe, followed by a second volume on the Latin sound of now and a third on new dimensions in Latin music, and in 2025 she founded a label under the same name. She has played Panorama Bar, North Sea Jazz and Dekmantel Selectors.
