D.K.

D.K. is Dang-Khoa Chau, a composer and producer based in Paris. He began DJing as a teenager with a hip hop collection, cut battle breaks as DJ Dee Kay and made hard house and techno as 45 ACP for L.I.E.S. and Russian Torrent Versions before settling into the D.K. alias in 2014 with languid, sun-struck records for Antinote. His music has since travelled through Melody As Truth, Music From Memory's Second Circle imprint, 12th Isle, Good Morning Tapes and Abstrakte, taking in ambient, breakbeat, downtempo, tribal rhythms and trance. In 2021 he founded his own label Worship, where the sound turned reverb-soaked and near-shamanic, exploring the line between the functional and the abstract. He has DJed across Europe, Asia and Australia and makes a yearly return to Vietnam.
