Danny Daze
Daniel Gomez grew up in Miami's B-boy culture, where electro and Miami bass led him to the Dutch electro and Detroit techno of the nineties and to labels such as Schematic, Interdimensional Transmissions and Viewlexx. He took the name Danny Daze at his mother's suggestion, played weddings at fourteen and spent the earnings on records for raves. He started producing in 2004, set up the white label Omniamm and later the electro and techno imprint Omnidisc, which favours raw, unpolished records. His output runs from Kompakt's Speicher series to remixes for Phantasy, Comeme and Monkeytown, as well as runway scores for John Elliott and Song for the Mute. His long DJ sets cut from electro and techno into Italo, and he mixed Dekmantel Podcast 286.
