Dasha Rush

Dasha Rush started out young in Moscow as one of the first female DJs and producers in Eastern Europe, moved to France in 1996 and later settled in Berlin. She founded the experimental label Hunger To Create in 2004 and Fullpanda Records in 2005, and has released on Sonic Groove and Raster-Noton, where her 2015 album Sleepstep captured the in-between state of sleep and wakefulness that runs through much of her music. Treating genres as starting points, she moves from hypnotic techno to weightless ambient. Her audiovisual work draws on science, in projects such as Antarctic Takt, Dark Hearts Of Space and Aurora Cerebralis, and her multidisciplinary show Les Territoires Ephémères brought together butoh, theatre, poetry and digital music.
