Derozan

Derozan grew up in Nieuwegein and moved to Rotterdam, where he is a resident at Garage Noord. He calls his approach Global Dance Suspense: sets built like film scores, with tension, patience and zero expectations, an idea shaped by a stint in the Tokyo underground where he watched DJs mix for small rooms with total care. With Giaderza, programmer of the Rotterdam club MONO, he forms SU2IDYA, a duo that digs into music rooted in their upbringing with an experimental edge towards non-European dance music, from rhythms out of Asia, Africa and South America. He hosts the show Global Dance Suspense on Stranded FM and is part of Fever Dream, a Rotterdam party platform that gives debut and established DJs the same room to experiment.
