Diva Cruz

Diva Cruz is a Colombian-Swedish percussionist and DJ based in Stockholm. She has been lead percussionist for Robyn's world tour, for Fever Ray and for the all-female salsa band Orquesta D'Caché, and she brings that experience to the booth, playing live drums over a rhythmic mix of records from across Latin America and beyond. Away from music she holds a degree in medical science. With Olof Dreijer of The Knife she made the Brujas EP for Dekmantel, her debut as vocalist and lyricist, blending samba, salsa and Brazilian funk with lyrics on violence against women and bodily autonomy. The pair perform the material as a hybrid live show, first staged at Sonar Istanbul.
