DJ Bone

DJ Bone is Eric Dulan, a Detroit DJ who got his first decks at seventeen and drilled himself in 1980s Detroit, practising blind mixes and rescuing deliberate needle skips, with Derrick May and Jeff Mills as the standard. Nights at the Music Institute and the radio of The Electrifyin' Mojo and The Wizard shaped his taste. After a weekly residency at The Love Club, his Motor Lounge nights in Hamtramck drew more than 1,000 people, with the sets broadcast on radio, and a headline booking at the Rex Club in Paris opened up Europe. He founded the Subject Detroit label and also records as Differ-Ent for Don't Be Afraid. His sets combine three-deck mixing, cuts and fader work, and he later settled in the Netherlands.
