DJ MARIA.

Born in Osaka and based on Japan's Shonan coast near Tokyo, DJ MARIA. is a DJ and producer whose sound moves across techno, trance, house and ambient, held together by a sense of psychedelia, groove and storytelling. Her sets respond to the room and the hour, moving from driving, physical grooves into hypnotic material that blurs the line between techno and trance, and in other settings into house, progressive and ambient. She has an ongoing relationship with Berghain in Berlin, and in Japan she co-founded and organises the Moment and Transcendence festivals, both part of a new generation of outdoor events there. Since the Acid Sunrise EP in 2022 she has released on Bassiani Records, BLUE HOUR RECORDS, UTE REC and Proxima. She played Dekmantel Selectors in 2025.
