DJ Pure

Peter Entjes, DJ Pure, is based in Nijmegen, where in 1994 he co-founded Planet Rose, the techno night in the east of the Netherlands that he has anchored as its main resident ever since. He was a resident at Tresor in Berlin from 1994 to 2010 and part of the True Spirit family from 1995, sharing bills with Jeff Mills, Derrick May, Kenny Larkin and Dave Clarke. Since 2002 he has been A&R director of Fingers Ltd, the club label of Doornroosje, and he co-initiated N.E.W., a platform for electronic artists from Nijmegen. His sets run funky grooves through the full spectrum of electronic dance music, and his surprise set at IsBurning's second birthday in Amsterdam fitted the party's habit of unannounced line-ups.
