DJ Python

DJ Python is the main alias of New York producer Brian Piñeyro, who coined the term deep reggaeton for music that lays smooth, spacious synth pads over broken dembow rhythms. The Caribbean pulse that Puerto Rican producers borrowed from dancehall meets the celestial atmospheres of ambient and the warmth of deep house. His first album, Dulce Compañia, launched Anthony Naples' Incienso label, and the continuously mixed Mas Amable followed there. In between he debuted on Dekmantel with Derretirse, a six-track EP tooled slightly more for the club. He also records with Naples for Air Texture and holds a show on Rinse FM.
