DJ Spinna

DJ Spinna is Vincent Williams, a Brooklyn producer and DJ of Panamanian background who began experimenting with turntables at eleven and has long joined hip hop, funk, soul and deep house into one practice. He came up through hip hop with the Jigmastas, alongside the MC Kriminul, and the group Polyrhythm Addicts, and worked with Eminem before his rise. His remix list includes De La Soul, Mary J. Blige and Stevie Wonder, whose music he celebrated on the compilation The Wonder of Stevie with Bobbito. Albums such as Heavy Beats Volume 1 and Here to There came out alongside releases on BBE, Harmless and Soulstar, and he recorded a disco-focused RA podcast. He played Dekmantel Festival in 2019.
