DJ Storm

DJ Storm is a London drum and bass DJ known as the First Lady of Drum and Bass. She and her friend and DJ partner Kemistry were drawn in by Fabio and Grooverider at the club night Rage and bought their first decks in 1991. They met Goldie, ran a show on the pirate station Touchdown FM and in 1994 founded Metalheadz with him, holding the label's Blue Note residency. Their 1998 DJ-Kicks mix for !K7 became one of the most popular in the series shortly before Kemistry died in a motorway accident. Storm went on to set up the Feline night at Herbal in 2004 and won best female DJ at the National Drum and Bass Awards four years in a row. She played Dekmantel Festival in 2019.
