Dollkraut

Dollkraut is the project of Dutch producer Pascal Pinkert, whose music takes in the strange electronic soundtracks of seventies pulp cinema, off-kilter disco and, as the name suggests, a dose of Soviet-era Germany. Over more than a decade he has chased unpredictability, from muscular dub-flecked synthesizer workouts to electro-fired post-punk and body wave, on labels including Viewlexx, Pinkman and Knekelhuis. On stage he performs with a bass player and a drummer, using non-conventional analogue instruments and vintage synthesizers, and he leads the band De Ambassade. As a DJ he has played Dekmantel Festival in Amsterdam, Dekmantel Selectors in Tisno, Present Perfect in St Petersburg and Rock en Seine in Paris, and he recorded the 110th Dekmantel Podcast.
