Donato Dozzy

Donato Dozzy is an Italian DJ and producer known for deep, hypnotic, trance-inducing techno. Rooted in Rome, he released early EPs on Elettronica Romana and Orange Groove, then lived in Berlin from 2004 to 2006, where he found his calling as an afterhours DJ and held a residency at Panorama Bar. Back in Italy he launched Dozzy Records, and he later co-owned the Spazio Disponibile label. His debut album K, a cassette of two long ambient rides for Further Records, recalled Pete Namlook's Fax label, and Sintetizzatrice was built entirely from the voice of Anna Caragnano. The Filo Loves The Acid album brought him back to the dance floor. His work extends to installations for museums and public spaces, obscure instruments and collaborations with classical singers and visual artists.
