Eris Drew

Eris Drew is a DJ and producer from Chicago who began mixing records in 1994, at eighteen, after a rave at the city's Oak Street Theater revealed to her what she calls the Motherbeat. A long residency at Smart Bar and sets for The Bunker in New York built her reputation, and her Motherbeat parties spread it across Europe. A turntablist at heart, she rides the pitch and collages house, breaks, techno and bass music into a tunnelling trance. She records for Interdimensional Transmissions and runs T4T LUV NRG with her partner Octo Octa from a cabin in New Hampshire; the pair held a BBC Radio 1 residency in 2020. She also gives talks linking rave to older ecstatic traditions and mentors trans, non-binary and queer DJs.
