Fatima Yamaha

Fatima Yamaha is the alias Amsterdam producer Bas Bron first used in 2004 for the EP A Girl Between Two Worlds on D1, then set aside while he recorded as Bastian, Gifted and Seymour Bits. One track from that EP, What's A Girl To Do, kept circulating on dancefloors until Dekmantel reissued it in 2015 and turned a quiet cult record into the calling card of a project reborn. Bron followed with the album Imaginary Lines, a Moog-heavy set with his keen ear for melody, and a second Dekmantel EP, Araya, where electro-funk meets crystalline synth drops, classic piano and skipping drums. He plays it all live, from Boiler Room at Dekmantel Festival to concert halls.
