Folake

Folake is a DJ based in Amsterdam with Nigerian roots. Her sets are built on afro house, amapiano, baile funk and afrobeats, held together by a sharp use of vocal hooks and an upbeat energy that works in a sweaty club basement as well as on a festival field. She is a regular on Amsterdam bills such as Blok40 and Membership at Skatecafé, has given DJ workshops and a masterclass at Lowlands, and has curated playlists for fashion retail. She played Lentekabinet in 2025, and the recording of that set is in the Dekmantel archive.
