Four Tet

Four Tet is Kieran Hebden, a London producer who started out on guitar in the post-rock band Fridge before launching his solo project in 1998. Rounds, from 2003, made the UK album chart and remains the reference point, but the catalogue runs from the sample collages of Dialogue and Pause through the club-facing Pink and the warm, melodic New Energy and Sixteen Oceans, all built from fragments of jazz, folk, house, techno and ambient. He runs Text Records, has remixed Radiohead and Aphex Twin, and works often with Floating Points, Caribou, Skrillex and Fred again. As a DJ he favours long, patient sets, and played one at The Loop stage of Dekmantel Festival.
