Freddy K

Freddy K is the Roman DJ and producer Alessio Armeni, a vinyl-only techno DJ since 1991. Shaped by Lory D and Leo Anibaldi's Sound of Rome movement, warehouse raves and radio, he launched the Virus radio show in 1993, and parties, a booking agency and a record shop followed. ACV released his first EP, Control, and his debut album Rage Of Age, a dark, noisy record drawing on Chicago acid and rock. He later worked at Rome's Remix record shop, co-founding the Elettronica Romana label that released early EPs by Donato Dozzy and Giorgio Gigli, and helped run M_Rec with Max_M. After moving to Berlin in 2009 he founded KEY Vinyl, a techno label for DJs. His marathon sets at Homopatik and Berghain cover a 360-degree view of techno.
