Galaxian

Galaxian is Mark Kastner, a Glasgow DJ and producer who performs in an aviation mask. He was a DJ long before he made records, and his sets keep an old-school mixing approach with contemporary selections. His productions take Detroit electro as a base and add polyrhythms, complex sound structures and dark ambient textures. Glasgow To Detroit appeared on Kern Vol. 5, mixed by Helena Hauff for Tresor, and the mini-album Destroy Your Future came out on the Italian label Curtis Electronix in 2022. Under the alias Kas he released the double album Like Sunlit Threads on Ilian Tape in 2021, a deeper, more spiritual side of his work. He played the UFO II stage at Dekmantel Festival in 2019.
