Ge-ology

Ge-ology was born in Baltimore and is based in New York, with four decades of work across music and visual art. His production credits in underground hip hop include Black Star, Mos Def, Talib Kweli and De La Soul, and he produced for a young Tupac Shakur; in the nineties his collective Dooable Arts, with Matt Doo, left a mark on hip hop's visual and fashion language. His own compositions have carried vocals from Jill Scott, Yukimi Nagano, Vinia Mojica and Jem, and a track with Mark de Clive-Lowe came out on Theo Parrish's Sound Signature. As a DJ he digs for overlooked funk and soul and builds sets as stories, aiming to bring something particular to every room.
