Gesloten Cirkel

Gesloten Cirkel is an anonymous techno producer who has listed himself as based in Russia and, on another profile, on the remote Heard and McDonald Islands. The name, Dutch for closed circle, is thought to echo I-F's words in the documentary When I Sold My Soul To The Machine, and the music leans towards The Hague: slamming, electro-flavoured techno as playful as it is heavy, with demented melodies, campy sci-fi samples and scruffy 303 acid. After two early EPs, his debut album Submit X arrived on Murder Capital, folding metal guitar leads and darkwave touches into a storming techno record. The M-011 and M-012 EPs followed, and he also records as Ratsnake. He has DJed on Intergalactic FM and played live at Dekmantel Festival in 2018.
