Half Queen

Half Queen is a DJ from Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland, of Fijian and Pākehā descent, and that heritage runs through what she plays: genre-bending global club music shaped by a diasporic sense of place. She built her name in the underground nightlife of Aotearoa before taking the sound abroad, with a BBC Radio 1 residency in 2023 and first tours of Europe and East Asia that took in Glastonbury, Horst Music and Arts Festival, Fabric, Oil in Shenzhen, Cakeshop in Seoul and Circus in Tokyo. She also produces and curates events; her DIY QTBIPOC club night and platform Filth puts her ethos into practice, with the dancefloor framed as a space for marginalised communities. Her sets are energetic and unpredictable, built on storytelling and collective movement.
