Illum Sphere
Illum Sphere is the project of Ryan Hunn, the Manchester producer and DJ behind the Hoya:Hoya night, where his residency sets ran through hip-hop, disco, jazz, psychedelic rock and much else besides. His early records came out on Fat City and Tectonic, from the Long Live The Plan EP in 2009 to the techier textures of Spectre Vex. The debut album Ghosts Of Then And Now arrived in 2014, followed in 2016 by Glass on Ninja Tune, a stark, cinematic record with shades of John Carpenter that Beau Wanzer, Hieroglyphic Being and Machine Woman later reworked. He mixed Fabriclive 78, held a monthly show on NTS and played Dekmantel Festival in 2017.
