James Massiah

James Massiah is a poet and musician from London who moves between spoken word, MCing, production and DJing. His debut single, Natural Born Killers, came out on the London party label LEVELS with a dub from Joy O. His second EP, True Romance, followed some five years later: a tale of hedonism and a break-up told in a halting deadpan over beats that mix garage, grime, dancehall, house and techno, much like a weekend night moving between London venues. He also appeared on Daniel Avery's album Ultra Truth on Phantasy Sound, alongside SHERELLE, HAAi and Kelly Lee Owens, and has released a running series of spoken pieces, New Poems, through Bandcamp.
