Jamie Watson grew up in the Beverly area on the South Side of Chicago and took his name from the address of the Muzic Box, the club where he danced under Ron Hardy. Through the eighties he ran house parties and picnics for hundreds of people with the crew The Lust Corp before moving into the booth. His Basement Edits series started in 2008 on ParteHardy, followed by reworks such as Hit It N Quit It and Testify, and his edits have since appeared on BBE, Local Talk, Heist Recordings and Lumberjacks in Hell. The double album A Taste of Chicago, released in 2020, collects his edits of Chicago classics by Chip E and BSTC. His sets move between obscure vintage records and new tracks with a strong groove.
