Jamie Tiller

Jamie Tiller was born in London in 1979, took a master's degree in photography at the Royal College of Art in 2008 and made Amsterdam his base. In 2013 he co-founded Music From Memory with Tako Reyenga and Abel Nagengast, a reissue label that began by compiling overlooked recordings by artists such as Gigi Masin and Suso Saiz before moving into new music. He worked as a DJ and promoter, and his back-to-back sets with Raphaël Top-Secret at Boiler Room x Dekmantel and with Lauren Hansom at Kala in Albania became reference points for a generation of diggers. Tiller died in October 2023 at the age of 44; his co-founders remembered a purity and humility that gave joy to many.
