Jan Schulte

Jan Schulte is a DJ, producer, dancer and record collector from Düsseldorf, a long-time resident of the Salon des Amateurs, the club he calls his living room and his classroom, alongside Lena Willikens and Vladimir Ivkovic. He records under several names: Wolf Müller for live-recorded percussion and delayed rhythm guitars, Bufiman for tribal disco grooves with stomping kick drums, and Goofy Man, plus a place in the krautrock band Montezumas Rache. His records have appeared on Versatile, International Feel, Themes For Great Cities and Dekmantel, where Bufiman released the album Albumsi, and he made the Peace Moves EP with DJ Normal 4 and compiled Tropical Drums Of Deutschland. He collaborates with Young Marco, Cass and drummer Niklas Wandt. His sets favour rhythm over melody, wonky drumming at lower tempos.
