John Talabot

John Talabot is the alias of Oriol Riverola, a Barcelona producer and DJ who took the name from the school he attended in the city. After early tracks as d.a.r.y.l, he began releasing as John Talabot in 2009, and the Families EP on Young Turks preceded his debut album, ƒIN, on Permanent Vacation in 2012. He founded the Hivern label in 2008, named after the Catalan word for winter, and it has released Pional, Marvin & Guy and Margot. A track made for his DJ-Kicks mix grew into Talaboman, a partnership with Axel Boman that produced The Night Land. He also works with Pional as Lost Scripts and hosted the monthly NTS show Music for Days Like This.
