Joy Orbison

Joy Orbison is the alias of Peter O'Grady, a London producer and DJ whose uncle, Ray Keith, introduced him to jungle and UK garage at a young age. He began DJing at thirteen and moved into production in his twenties, building a sound from house, disco, garage and dubstep. His debut single Hyph Mngo, released on Hotflush in 2009, was named Fact's top track of that year and placed in Resident Advisor's top 100 tracks of the decade. Records followed on his own Doldrums label, Aus Music and Swamp81, including a run of collaborations with Boddika. In 2012 he launched the Hinge Finger label with Will Bankhead, and the EPs Toss Portal, 81b and Slipping extended his range. He compiled the fourth edition of Dekmantel's Selectors series.
