Khidja

Khidja is the Bucharest duo of Flore and Rusu, who met in high school and grew up together through a string of musical phases before channelling a shared love of outlandish dance music into one project. Their tracks set acoustic and electronic instruments against each other, from krautrock guitars over syncopated drums to cosmic techno and galactic electro-funk. They appeared on the first P-Balans record from the Romanian label Future Nuggets, released the Microb EP with remixes by Tolouse Low Trax, and joined John Talabot's Hivern label for the Impossible Holiday and Something In The Water EPs, the latter with a remix by Azu Tiwaline. Transmissions, a 70-minute journey in two parts, followed. Their remixes have turned up on radio shows by Andrew Weatherall and Lena Willikens.
