kimmah

Born in Utrecht, based in Rotterdam and raised on Vietnamese music, kimmah plays fast, funky electro with detours into acid, breaks, punk and rap. She trained as an architect and urban designer in Delft and Berlin, and that fascination with concrete basements fed straight into her DJing: as a resident of Rotterdam's FOMO collective she played and programmed nights in the city's industrial spaces while helping shape policy for safer clubs. She now holds residencies at Poing and Operator Radio, runs the Scattered Waves platform for Asian electronic music, and has toured Vietnam twice. Her sets have taken her through BIT, Garage Noord, OOST, Perron and PIP, and to Dekmantel's Lentekabinet festival.
